The routine:
Wife gets up lets pack out.
Wakes up and feeds son.
Takes son to school.
On the way out to the car the wife see's the present the pack has left for her on her swing this morning.

did you check the dogs for bites? my neighbor has a jack russel that loves to kill snakes. she got bit once and she said the vet told her dogs don't react to the venom as badly as humans and they did nothing for the dog and she lived. i said uh huh, i'm not using your vet...never ever. isn't that the most stupid thing you have ever heard. yep, my dog got bit by a cottonmouth but i'm not worried, he is immune to the venom. geeze.
i sure hope she was lying about her vet saying that and she just decided not to take the dog to the vet without his imput.

It wasn't poisonous so I wasn't worried about that but I have heard the same thing.

Yep they chewed it up pretty good, thats why the wife threw it out side the fence till I could do something with it.

No snakes or spiders in the mountains?

not in this town at least.... never seen a snake or a nasty looking spider here... 2200 meters above sea level... guess its not warm enough for the nasty ones, now ive heard some not very fun stories about tarantulas on the coast and in the jungle. im not going to live in either of those places!!!!

Yikes! I'm so glad my dogs don't catch things! I feel bad for the animals, as I enjoy all my wild friends!...well, minus most of the bugs, haha.

I think Kizz is missing Texas, on the walk this week he dived into the bushes and came out with a smug look on his face, on closer inspection I noticed two birdie feet sticking out of his mouth. I was in a quandary as to whether to grab the dog or the feet. He just stood there with a look on his face that said 'I found it, I'm keeping it). The did a good 2 miles with him walking around with two birdie feet sticking out of him mouth. Still not sure if he swallowed or spat   .

I did try that but this dog was raised by Ramrod and he eats what he hunts. But he did think about if for a good 15 minutes with his mouth shut and lips pursed. angel2

We're pretty lucky in the UK as we only have two types of snakes - grass snakes that are harmless and adders/vipers which are venomous but only mildly so, to humans at least. I'd have a bit of a fit if Lolls got bitten by one but, to be honest, I've never even seen one and I'm about 300 years old, so they aren't exactly rampant over here.
