Schnauzer Talk!

I posted here because this is about my older dog Sasha. Katelyn left last Sat. am for a National Youth Gathering in New Orleans and they came home last night. I took the dogs with me to the church to pick her up. They were both very excited to see her but Lucy was...well Lucy. She was all over ANYONE who chose to give her attention. But Sasha...she loves her Katelyn so much. She stood or sat calmly by my side while Katelyn flitted around saying goodbye to her friends and gathering her stuff but Sasha never took her eyes off of Katelyn. She was ok with people petting her but she didn't give them the time of day...her eyes were on Katelyn and only Katelyn. Katelyn had her senior pictures taken and after the fact mentioned that she could have had Sasha with her in one but her friend who took her to the sitting didn't want the "hair" in her car. I think I need to take them somewhere and have some done of them together.

Oh Sasha! What a good girl. You can tell that she really worships Katelyn. I think you should take them to get that picture. It will be something Katelyn will treasure forever. I think it is a great idea. oh and btw....let the friend know that schnauzers don't shed.

Oh...but my Sasha isn't a schnauzer...here she is. Thought I had posted a picture of her before. I keep her shedding to a minimum with the furminator AND having her coat blown at the groomers every 3 months...but she sheds....rub up against her in black pants and you'll see. We like to say we take Sasha with us everywhere we go.

Oh well, then, I stand corrected. Sasha probably does shed. But man! She is gorgeous!

Uh...yeah. she does shed. I fill an entire grocery store plastic bag when I use the furminator brush on her. She's a Samoyed/Sheltie mix...but all Sammy personality. I was considering getting another Samoyed...but the shedding was holding me back...then the opportunity came along to get Lucy and I am so happy I did.

By all means, please get some senior photos of her with Sasha! They will be her favorites! I used to shoot a lot of seniors with their pets. They were always the most fun shoots and the photos adorable with lots of personality shown by both participants.

you will be sorry if you don't get the pictures. schedule them now, you will treasure them always. so will your daughter.

Yeah...I'll talk to Katelyn about it tonight. Sasha's been in her life since she was 5 years old so I think it would be a great picture to have. Katelyn says she feels guilty not having one of her and Lucy but I told her it wouldn't be as memorable since we've only had Lucy for 8 months.

Sasha is lovely girl its the collies that shed the most in my house especially red and white ones .

Get a furminator brush. It's amazing what it does.

You could just hug her she looks like one very very cute Bear

That's funny cuz she looked just like a little teddy bear when she was a puppy and my kids grew up using her for a pillow when watching TV.

Sasha is a sweetheart! That is just a lovely story. I hope Katelyn, for Sasha's sake, isn't off to uni soon and leaving her behind!

I went away for the weekend and when we got home Gidget wouldn't let me out of her sight. Pip on the other hand, just was her sweetie, silly self!
