Tiny Macie 9 1/2 weeks 2# 6.5 oz?

Took some pictures of Macie today and included Izzy to show how small she is. When we got Izzy and Flynn they were approx 3# each at 8 weeks old. Macie is 9.5 weeks old (born May 24th) and I am trying to determine about what she will weigh. Is there a chart somewhere that a mini schnauzer enthusiast has created to approximate her size? I believe her parents are 8-9# but have seen teacup sizes born from parents like that so just curious. I think Izzy MUST be around 9# now... she sure feels huge next to Macie. Izzy is 27 weeks old today helloclap

OMG...Macie is beautiful!!!! Wow. and Izzie is gorgeous as well. Lucy was 4 lb. 6 oz at 8 weeks, 6 lb 4 oz at 12 wks and 8 lbs at 16 wks. She's now about 14.5 lbs at 8 months.

Your dogs are so beautiful. Do you mind if I ask what breeder you got them from? I want a liver next time!

If you double their weight at 12 weeks of age it will give you a rough estimate of their adult weight.

macee is a beautiful pup. izzy also is beautiful. buddy was 2.5 at 8 weeks and now fluctuates between 12 and 13 pounds.
13 inches tall also. we were expecting him to stay smaller but he had other ideas.

I am hoping that Macie will stay sort of small since we will have 5 dogs. I really underestimated what Izzy weighs, she tops the scale at 11 pounds now. She is bigger than both of her parents. Her mom is 8# and her dad is 7#....I was thinking she would be closer to their weight. Flynn must be around 9-10 pounds too then because he isn't much lighter than her.

Macie and Izzy are beautiful girls! It will be fun to watch and see how they grow. I love Macie's color and her puppy moustache. :lol:

They are just darling.....my Emmie Sue weighed 5# at 12 weeks, and 5.3 at 15 weeks, and at 6 months she weighed 10#. Her parents were 12#, so we will have to wait and she how she develops....she is 7 1/2 months now, and I need to take her in and weigh her again.....they grow sooooo fast!!

Our local Petsmart has a scale that you can weight your dog yourself on. It's back by the vet clinic. Very useful.

I weighed her on a postage scale yesterday and she was 2lb 9.8oz but she was kind of wiggly so I don't know how accurate it was. She just turned 10 weeks on Monday. I think I will take her to Petsmart and give their scale a try.... maybe tonight

Well she might be little but she is huge on attitude. We have affectionately named her the devil even though she is a angel2

because she is pretty aggressive with the other dogs

Didn't make it out to Petsmart tonight. My sweet little boy is sooo sick. He has had a high fever since Monday 102-103 degrees, has a virus, ear infection.... and now has had an allergic reaction to the rocephin shotS he had to get in his skinny little bottom on both sides. He is covered with a rash and STILL has a fever...I have to call the Dr every day

My poor little boy is miserable crybaby

Thank you. It's soooo hard when your little ones are sick, whether they are the furry kind or the not so furry kind. It makes me sad that he is hurting...but the schnauzers make him smile

How is your sweet boy this morning? My second son was prone to that sort of illness complete with allergic reactions. It's so hard to watch them feel soooo crappy. I'm glad the schnauzers can still bring him some joy.

This morning he is MUCH better

He woke up with less "bumpy" rash and more just red all over. He is still on his THIRD antibiotic (the 2nd was the rocephin shots in the butt that he HATED) but we crush it up and put in some yogurt. He is also taking Claritin today instead of the benadryl so he won't be drugged all day helloclap

The first thing he did this morning was hold Macie while I was crushing his meds.

Oh!! And no fever so far this morning and his last motrin was last night around 11pm. I'm glad Macie is still so small he can hold her without her being so wiggly that she is hard to hold.
